Washington, D.C. – Turns out, Republicans’ plan of hiding from their constituents wasn’t a great strategy. Members of Congress are getting an earful this recess, as Americans from across the political spectrum make clear: No one wants to give tax breaks to the ultra-wealthy at the expense of everyday Americans’ health care, Social Security benefits, school funding, and more.


Here are some highlights from the dozens of rallies, town halls, and protests all across the country, as Americans speak out against the billionaire-first agenda being pushed by the Trump-Musk administration and Republicans in Congress:

KGUN 9 News – Tuscon, Arizona: “Although Representative Juan Ciscomani did not attend the town hall organized by his constituents, neighbors from his district still took the stage to discuss their concerns about federal job cuts and potential spending cuts to Medicare and Medicaid.”

WMGT 41 News – Tifton, Georgia: “Yesterday, constituents of Georgia’s 8th congressional district gathered outside of U.S. Representative Austin Scott’s Warner Robins Office. They were there, demanding change. Speakers say they want Scott to host more town hall meetings and stand up for the recent actions carried out by the Trump administration, including cuts to federal programs.” 

Hudson Valley News 12 – Tarrytown, New York: “People in Westchester calling on lawmakers to protect health care programs from planned federal cuts. Protesters gathered in Patriots Park in Tarrytown to fight efforts by House Republicans to pass a budget that would cut trillions of dollars to programs like Medicaid and SNAP.”

6ABC Action News – Langhorne, Pennsylvania: “Voters in Bucks County held a rally demanding Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick push back against the Trump administration’s federal funding cuts and mass firings.”

WBOY 12 News – Morgantown, West Virginia: “Now, to dozens of West Virginians, where they were in front of the U.S. representative Riley Moore and Senator Shelley Moore Capito’s Morgantown offices yesterday in protest of potential cuts to SNAP benefits and Medicaid. Demonstrators say cuts to Medicaid could put coverage at risk for the millions of low income and disabled Americans who rely on it.”
